Book Launch Party

If there’s one thing I love almost as much as writing, it’s party planning. Give me a theme and I’m in heaven. So for The Mechanics of Memory launch party, I had to pull out all the stops.

Bianca of Bianca Javier Events went above and beyond to make my launch as glamorous as could be. She created a seven-foot-tall book with the first two pages from chapter one and a beautiful bookshelf with all my books on it. There were even huge marquee letters spelling out HOPE. And don’t get me started on the balloons!

The servers at the party were such good sports and all agreed to wear lab coats, complete with name tags from the Wilder Sanctuary. There were prescription pad cocktail napkins, centerpieces that resembled the Shade, themed swag bags, and of course, (chicken and) waffles.

All in all, it was one perfect night of celebrating this journey with friends and family. I told my husband I’m only doing this for the debut, and I’m sticking to that story. For now.
